eg. nikkei futures traded on OSE, CME and SGX? or soybean meal on CBOT and ECBT?
eg. swissfranc on CME,PBOT,NYBOT? or Nikkei225 on CME,OSE,SIMEX? are the prices all the same? if different, is there room for arbitrage?

lately i’ve been hearing about this type of instruments. how different is it from other financial instruments such as options and future contracts? What are the advantages of trading this instrument, is it highly leveraged?

I am having a hard time trying to remember the corresponding abbreivations for each month:
January-F, February-G, March-H, April-J, May-K, June-M, July-N, Augus-O, September-U, October-V, November-X, December-Z
Does anyone know where these abbreviations arose from? Or…Is it just unavoidable jargon for futures trading?
