I have noticed that when I go to like CNBC.com or Marketwatch.com, when watching the gasoline stocks (or whatever they’re called since they’re commodities), even though the New York Stock Exchange closes at 4:00PM EST, crude oil will continue to trade. What are the trading hours for gasoline, which comes from the Light Sweet Crude oil? I know on CNBC.com, it is just headlined "OIL" and I am almost positive it is the same way on Marketwatch.com, although I am not going to go right now and look. But, what are the trading hours of the basic source of petroleum or gasoline, what I can go down to the gas station and pump my car full of? In conclusion, one more question. What is the ticker symbol? I ask this because, with my AT&T U-Verse, I can place stocks as my preferred to watch on my U-Bar and this is one of them! Thanks for your help!

I want to know what is the role of Futures Merchant Commission (FCM) in the exchanges? What is the difference between brokers and FCMs?

How are trades executed on a futures market?

lets say chicago board of trade has soybeans offered 879 and bid at 876, how would the trade acutally work, would the buyer increase his price to match the offer or would the seller reduce his offer to match the bid. and what happens once a trade is done, do the buyers & seller on the mkt then change their prices again immediately???

I have been in mortgage for about 8 years now, and am looking to go into real estate full time, both as an agent and investor.
Since I am in the Phoenix area, I know there are many choices, but these two look the best so far. (KW-training and growth, Prudfential-Yahoo! Real Estate coverage and visibility)

Any ideas or details regarding these? Especially fees, training, etc. Keep in mind I may be new to the business, but plan on dedicating myself to this absolutely and do NOT want to change companies! This would be for the long term! And we have an eye to doing commercial development in the future, so is there an edge there between these two?

Futures trading indicates Sen.Clinton’s chances of nomination at 19%. When will her campaign end in your estimation? Are these futures traders smart or not smart or do they know something we all don’t?

and the trade occurred on the NYSE. This is an example of

A futures market transaction.
A primary market transaction.
A secondary market transaction.
A money market transaction.
An over-the-counter market transaction.

Normally when we buy a future we set a target to book profits. But, when the market falls we are loath to put a stop loss and we loose a big chunk of money. Last year I made a profit of about fifty thousand dollars playing in future. This year all that proft got wiped off in just three months. Should I stop dabbling in futures?
