Is there a special requirement you need to have to become a stock broker? Can someone please tell me what I have to do in order to become a stock broker?

Info about the futures and options trading espescially in oil and exchange rates viz euro dollar and also info about major commodity exchanges of the world.

So I had a call from an English sounding guy from a Tokyo broker company called Next Futures (http://www.nextfutures.com) which he says is registered with the "Japan Futures Trading Board" (http://www.jftb.org/eng/) . He says they are predicting a hike in gold prices over the next two months due to economic uncertainty. (Minimum 00 investment, they take 1% of profits)
I have found nothing in google to verify one way or another whether its a scam or not.
