I purchased an investment property in Australia and didnt have a problem with legal or paperwork. I have been paying it off for a few years now under my own esteem. Who should I get to assist me with advice from here - mortgage broker, financial planner, accountant? Im confused. I’d like to purchase additional property in the near future but need to work out my finances. Not sure how?

I was wondering where I could obtain information on Nifty Futures Trading. I know a lot of people here recommend that one stay away from Futures Trading if he/she doesn’t know anything about it, but I’m not really an investor yet, I was searching for information to help me decide whether or not to take the plunge.

Is there really no information at all online? Funny, I thought the Web was the place where you could find almost anything!

Also, how do I find out the current price of Nifty Futures? Is there a website that allows me to do that?

I want to play with some fake $$ to practice on the NYSE, maybe NASDAQ.

I’m looking for a broker that offers options as well as SSFs or single stock futures. I know IB, tradestation and OptionsXpress offer them but IB and tradestation have awfully high requirements for opening balance, maintained balance and even monthly platform fees. OptionsXpress overcharges commissions so I was looking for alternative brokers that might offer SSFs.

Basically it’s highly leveraged derivatives without an "option". Well anyway I would like to have the option of playing with them one day and for future reference I would like to know if anyone’s broker offers these or not. And yes I looked at the list on the website, I am looking for similar offerings by other brokers not listed at onechicago if they even exist.

If i short sell a stock, I need to cover it by the end of day.. What do i need to do keep my position open and cover it only when i require?
