I want to become a Real Estate Broker?
I am 14 years old and in 9th grade. I know I am pretty young to be thinking about jobs but our teachers always ask us if we have any Idea of what we want to do. I want to be a Real Estate Broker. I would have to get some training after high school and go to OREA (Ontario Real Estate Association). My mom and dad have a really good friend who is a Real Estate Broker and she makes 0,000 + per year. What I wanted to know was:
1. What are some good things about being a Real Estate Broker.
2. If you happen to be or know a Real Estate Broker, on average how much do you/they make.
3. How long is the training, I want to start at OREA right after high school and start my career fairly fast.
Thanks for answering these, I know that I am pretty young to be thinking about what I want to do for a future career but your never to young to start looking at the possibilities.

My husband is a broker- he makes pretty good money but it is a very difficult field during this economy- where do you live?
The training is not that long- but you need to really be motivated, in which you sound like you are only being 14 and so interested- but you need to realize that this field is straight commission so that makes the field very stressful at times and you will need to learn how to budget yourself because one month you can make a lot of money and the next, none-
Good luck with your choice and if this is truly what you want to do, stick with it….don’t let anyone talk you into a certain situation. You are young, keep your dreams big and look for all options- what I can tell you also is maybe try this part time when you get older too and see if you like it! That’s the great thing about real estate- it’s up to you what you want to do with it- part time/full time…etc…
